I first started working with patients struggling with chronic gut conditions, successfully managing their needs with diet, lifestyle and smart nutrition interventions.
With the recent availability of GLP-1 medications (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro), many people are now aiming to lose weight, reach better health, and enjoy the things that matter to them the most.
Not long after, doctors and weight loss clinics started referring their patients to me to support their gastrointestinal adverse events. I began working with these patients, first to resolve their GI symptoms, then to help them address their more overarching needs – primarily what to eat while on medications, how to address nutrient deficiencies with limited food intake, or how to adapt to a new eating routine after they reach their weight loss goal. And now many of them are coming off their GLP-1 medications, or they are adopting healthy routines to keep the weight off while boosting other aspects of their health.
Having succeeded with my first wave of patients, I saw that there was a real unmet need in this area. There was nowhere to go for companion diet and nutrition support for patients on their weight loss journey with GLP-1 meds.
